Round Two

The Round Two wines are a private project made by two good mates; the talented and highly awarded winemaker Kym Teusner and noted Barossa viticulturalist Warwick Murray. In the beginning a 45-acre property called ‘Woodstock’ in the Barossa Valley was purchased in 2007, the process of developing the Round Two collection began. Since then, range has expanded however the wines are still selected from a single vineyard site and remain ripe, clean and ‘fruit expressive’ on the palate with older oak being used in the winery. Crafted with a focus on generosity of flavour, the wines have become a reliable favourite among retailers and restaurateurs across Australia.

Kym Teusner

Working in restaurants to pay his way through university in Adelaide, Kym discovered the wonders of wine and was completely hooked on this newfound favourite drink. He was soon spending any spare time available being devoted to studying the stuff! As a country boy by birth, he soon realised that this was his true passion, and so headed back to University to become a winemaker. Kym sees the variability of the job as fantastic – “one day I’m slopping around in gumboots and red wine and the next day I’m dining in the best restaurants in the country. The fact that the Barossa is home to some of the oldest vines in the world and being able to work with growers who have been at their trade for 6 or more generations and make wonderful wine from their produce is also very gratifying.
