Susan Sokol and Bill Blosser planted their first vines in the Dundee Hills AVA (American Viticulture Area) in the Willamette Valley, Oregon in 1971. They needed all their youthful self-confidence, energy and determination to make their way, because, at the time, there was no wine industry in Oregon. The winery is now run by second generation winegrowers and co-presidents, Alison and Alex Sokol Blosser. Today, with over 900 wineries and more than 30,000 acres of planted vineyards, Oregon has grown exponentially, with its wines available throughout the world. Sokol Blosser has survived, grown and prospered as a family owned and run operation, and are proud to have been part of developing and shaping Oregon’s now prominent wine industry.
Sokol Blosser create wines of world-class quality that are produced sustainably mindful of the environment that express the distinctive flavours of their Dundee hillside vineyards. Sokol Blosser wines reflect who they are, their values and sense of place. Sokol Blosser’s estate vineyards have been certified organic since 2005. Sokol Blosser is B Corp Certified, making it 1 of 30 wineries worldwide to be certified B Corp.
